Queen Latifah has been popping up all over Maryland over the last couple of years: Fells Point, Aberdeen, Joppatowne. Today, she told Reagan, Jon and Kaite Rose why.
In the last couple of years, Queen Latifah has been spotted at The Olive Tree in Aberdeen and Baldwin’s Crabhouse in Joppatowne. And earlier this year, she was seen dining at both Water for Chocolate and Points South Latin Kitchen in Fells Point. At the time, The Sun wrote that “it was unclear why the entertainer was in town.”
So we asked her.
“Well,” she said. “My grandmother lives, like, 20 minutes from Baltimore so I’m always in Maryland. And my mom’s doctors are out of Johns Hopkins so I’m always in the neighborhood.”
Queen Latifah also talked about her new movie “Girls Trip,” the raunchiness of it, and how she hopes there is a sequel. She also told us about how her first show ever was in Baltimore at just 17 years old, and that’s where she first met Jada Pinkett-Smith, years before the two would co-star in this weekend’s “Girls Trip.”
